About us

CPL Group is an established registered charity that provides procurement services to schools, academies, colleges, universities and establishments such as libraries and museums. More recently we’ve moved into the wider public sector broadening our customer base even further.

CPL Group was founded in 1999 and has gone from strength-to-strength for over 20 years. Our Group started as part of the purchasing department at The University of Salford and grew into its own independent organisation. Ten years later it gained charitable status before acquiring Tenet in 2017.

The ethos of CPL Group is to improve procurement across the education and wider public sector. This is achieved by offering a wide range of procurement support including: EU compliant frameworks, consultancy support, training and free of charge resources.

CPL Group is comprised of: Crescent Purchasing Consortium, Tenet Education Services, Tenet Procurement Services, Crescent Learning and ProcureEd.
