    Company Overview Situated on the South Coast, The Lettuce Company joined the G?s Growers Co-operative in 2012. The farm grows a broad range of leafy salads and baby leaf for the process sector. TLC Sussex is located on the coast and farms across the South Downs National Park and Chichester Plain which provides the perfect growing conditions. Planting commences in February and harvest can continue through until early November due to the microclimate. We farm on a National Park on our Petworth farm and we work closely with our landlords across all of our land base in order to promote the natural biodiversity ? including bird and pollen mixes, to feed overwinter birds and promote beneficial insects. The farm employs 20 colleagues on an annual basis with the workforce increasing to 150 during the seasonal harvest period.  The farm plays an active role in hosting local schools and community visits, while also contributing to local charity initiatives. The Farms Director is Alex Duncan.
