What employees say

“The fact that we are regularly able to take time out of doing work tasks to learn about something new, whether that's a talk from an expert or an art and crafts session or a mindfulness session. I think that really shows how much the company cares about wellbeing and the staff experience.”

What defines us

One of the most important aspects of our workplace culture is the social element, it’s the thing that binds us together, and helps employees create collective purpose.

UNiDAYS has worked hard to be an organisation that nurtures a lively and social environment, creating conditions where there is a purposefully considered balance between work and fun.

We make it a priority to listen to our people through our quarterly engagement survey and smaller pulse surveys, focusing on gathering feedback from all areas of the business, and developing strategies to address it.

What inspires us

We are committed to keeping our distributed workforce happy and connected with one another. The Good Vibes Programme is an initiative that draws on our commitment to the health and wellbeing of our global team.

A monthly calendar of events includes a mixture of workshops, competitions, motivational speakers, fitness activities and gifts, giving team members the opportunity to take a break and try something new. Some of our team favourites are cook-a-longs, cocktail (and mocktail) making workshops, and seasonal gifts sent through our team’s letterboxes.

Word from the top

“We are absolutely thrilled to achieve certification with Great Places to Work in the UK. From Nottingham to London and New York to Sydney, our people are so proactive and engaged, it just underlines what we already knew, that our team members genuinely care about each other and our company. As a purpose driven company, we're all working together to achieve something great - supporting, enabling and inspiring every young person to be their best selves, our UK team demonstrates this each and every day. Since the moment I joined the company back in August 2020 I’ve been deeply impressed with how our team members embody our mission and our culture so passionately. We’re a company that embraces change and invests in our people, constantly striving to be better today than we were yesterday. I’m immensely proud of the way we work so tirelessly to create such an exciting and inclusive workplace.”

Application tips

We love to see applications where personality shines through. After all, it's not just about being able to do the job, but also how you go about doing it. A cover letter helps you to stand out, but this is optional.

We're looking for great people to join our passionate team, who are dedicated to giving students the power to make every experience more valuable and rewarding.

We have developed a lot as a business in the last 10 years and our workforce is a reflection of this! We work hard to create a diverse and inclusive environment of talented employees that can help us in the next stage of our journey. If you are interested in joining our team, things we’re always on the lookout for include:

  • experience of scaling up global businesses
  • helping a business undergo an event (IPO or Aquisition)
  • Most importantly, someone who can bring strong leadership skills that will help build upon our fantastic culture!

Our great workplace

As part of UNiDAYS Diversity and Inclusion strategy, we use blind hiring technology (Mevitae) in our first stage of recruitment, to reduce unconscious bias. Factors including name, photographs, university names, age and gender are not visible to our hiring team when they are in the CV reviewing stage.

For most roles, we use a standard interview process to assess suitability for the role:

Step 1: Pre-screening call with our Talent Team. Usually 30 minutes to discuss the role, your CV, motivations and expectations

Step 2: Meet with the hiring managers. A 45 - 60 mins interview with the hiring managers to get to know you, and discuss your CV, skills and experience

Step 3: Home Assignment (only on certain roles). Sometimes we give you a task to do to assess your skills and process of completing work. This varies and the Talent Team will provide you with all the information you need

Step 4: Final interview with the team Usually between 60 - 90 minutes to meet with team members and stakeholders.
