About us

Serve and Protect CU is a free employee benefit available to the Police, Prison, Military, Fire and Health services, as well as their family members. We are passionate about improving the financial resilience of those who serve and protect, helping them to save regularly but also being there for them if they need to borrow throughout their career.

With over 37,000 members, we recognise the important role our members play within society and the day-to-day challenges faced protecting our nation.

In order to play our part, we help our members prepare for their financial future – so they are ready to respond to any financial challenges they may face throughout their career.

Nothing makes our Lending and Member Services Teams feel better than knowing they have met the financial need of a member and provided that person with an excellent service or when our people Managers encourage their team to collaborate and work together to achieve an end goal or target.

We truly have a fantastic team at Serve and Protect which has been no more apparent than over the last year. I have enormous pride for how our team adapted to the monumental changes faced by us all and the dedication to supporting those who serve and protect the nation alongside the ongoing challenges in our own lives was humbling.

We continue to grow together as an organisation and as people, with the credit union ethos of people helping people. Not everyone has that kind of meaning behind their work, but we do! We are now better, stronger, more sensitive, and appreciative of who we are, what we have and what we stand for.
