About us

Welcome to Outcomes First Group - Innovators in education and care and the leading children’s service provider in the UK.

We are passionate about making a difference to those we support, educate and care for with expert teams across the country providing individually tailored support plans for each child and young person in our care. This creates a safe and nurturing environment in which these individuals can learn, grow and succeed.

Throughout our journey, we have joined forces with other established fostering agencies, specialist schools and residential care homes to create an inclusive world, committed to equality and diversity for all.

Our vision is simple yet powerful; to build incredible futures for vulnerable children and young adults in the UK by empowering them to be happy and make their way in the world.

What inspires us

Our new communications platform, Engage is a ‘never seen before’ platform for the Group and for the first time, truly unites colleagues and enables them to share news of the amazing outcomes they deliver for the people they care for and educate.

Engage is our go-to employee app which offers cross-divisional and Group news; access to systems and policies; tools and resources; a career and development portal; access to wellbeing and benefits resources; connects people to our charity and social activities; job opportunities; and much much more.

Engage also provides fast and easy access to employee discounts, salary sacrifice programmes and other benefits to help make your salary stretch further.

Through Engage people can socialise through our brand new Book Club. The group vote for the monthly read and meet monthly to discuss the book and generally have fun. The group now has more than 35 members and continues to grow.

Action highlights

We want to create an exceptional inclusive culture in which all colleagues feel appreciated, so we created a One Moment in Time policy which recognises that there are moments in every employee’s life that need a little celebration, so therefore we have given each person one day additional leave per year, fully paid, in order to celebrate any event which is important to them.

We have also partnered with Inclusive Employers who are offering us support in taking the Group on a journey to make inclusion an everyday reality. With their guidance we can identify the areas in which we can continue to improve.

Outcomes First Group has been approved as a Fostering Friendly Employer, demonstrating our commitment to support any colleague who is a foster carer.

We have also created a menopause policy to encourage women to have open conversations with their line manager to talk about how they are affected and discuss how their place of work can be made more comfortable during menopausal symptoms.

Word from the top

I am proud of our culture in Outcomes First Group. We are a team of more than 5,000 colleagues working in schools, residential care homes and fostering agencies across the UK, all led by values which inspire, empower and unite us to deliver the best education and care for some of the most vulnerable children, young people and adults in our society.

Colleagues roles have special meaning to them; and whilst our work is challenging, the camaraderie we share gets us through the inevitable tough times.

All of our colleagues have an unwavering commitment to those in their care and I’m honoured to lead and be part of such an incredible team and I want to thank each and every one of them for creating a fantastic culture.
