What defines us

What makes us unique? A genuine feeling of being part of the whole company team. This is achieved through proactive & genuine Communication & Engagement. We put significant effort into sharing the vision and helping everyone understand what is important and how together we will achieve business & personal success. We do this through a host of methods consistently delivered; these include a shared company strategy document, cross functional project teams, monthly Breakfast Briefings, Business Leadership Team cascades, Off site Business Briefings, Sales & Marketing conferences, Social Events every month, participation in local Charity Initiatives, and a Step in my Shoes programme to improve appreciation of other roles. These along with a strong recognition programme that all staff can contribute to, plus the open nature of the Business Leadership Team engaging with staff on a daily basis, leads to a genuine feeling of being part of the whole company team with a clear focus on success. 

What inspires us

Celebrating key events and successes and getting together socially are an important part of life at Groupe SEB UK. We work hard so it’s important to relax and have fun as well.

Often there is a food theme running through the events that links back to our core business. Cooking competitions using our products, international lunches prepared by staff from different countries through to bake offs. We celebrate with themed summer & Christmas parties, hold regular quiz nights, and team activities and sporting competitions. We celebrate big successes in public at our regular gatherings, recognizing personal & team achievements, industry awards, & consumer feedback.

We have a very strong benefits package that create an environment that is fair and equal. All staff have a bonus scheme that has shared targets, and we offer a host of benefits including a variety of health cover, holidays and pension contributions that increase with service, and very generous discounts on our products.

 

Action highlights


Our Communication & Engagement was fully tested in the recent COVID-19 situation. Employee well-being was firmly at the heart of our strategy with a continual focus on suporting individuals with health or family issues, and helping them adapt to new working practices. With all staff based at home and in a period of great uncertainty and worry, the consistent briefings, cascades, and 1 to 1s ensured staff felt connected to what was going on in a rapidly changing business. We put in place a variety of well-being activities focusing on all aspects of health (physical, mental, creative & social) and had a weekly programme to inspire, motivate and support our team. From steps challenges to a virtual Friday pub, from Easter montages to virtual quizzes, these ensured everyone was actively engaged with colleagues, and brought a sense of familiarity, reassurance and fun.
