About us

aps Events & Media specialise in international event management and the creation of digital media, predominantly in the healthcare sector. We also regularly host pan-national virtual meetings that can seamlessly link international clients, all controlled from our base in Cheadle.

The aps culture is focused on people, it’s based on strong relationships and added value and what’s helped us to build a formidable reputation over three decades and double in size over the last five years.

The ethos started within our Manchester studio in 1982 is just as relevant today as it ever was; passionate, creative people working together to produce outstanding experiences through technology. From our beginnings as a sound recording studio in central Manchester to developing a full event management service, we’re driven to support our clients exactly where they need it.

From our HQ at the historical Abney Hall in leafy Cheshire, our 54 team members are proud of our core values:

Wellbeing

We feel it’s important to celebrate success and ensure the wellbeing of our employees. We understand the importance of getting together outside the office so from team meals, a lunchtime game of frisbee or a companywide team building event; a company social is never too far away. Our office surroundings offer an excellent working environment and a place to go for a quiet moment in the parkland and we hold mindfulness workshops, offer gym discounts and private healthcare to help look after the health of our employees.

Appreciation

We understand it’s the small things that mean a lot – whether it’s a round of drinks, office ice creams on those hot days, an extra days holiday for Christmas shopping or a personal email from a manager, we like to ensure our employees feel appreciated throughout the year.

Our Responsibilities & Contributions

Quick to acknowledge our privilege, we take our CSR very seriously and work hard to minimise any negative impacts of our work on the planet and to maximise our social and environmental contributions. From recycling and minimising the amount of printing we do and paper we use, to tracking and trying to mitigate our C02 footprint with our carbon offset programme.

We have a nominated charity and organise company and team activities to raise money each year as well as supporting organised events – from donning our Christmas silly jumpers to baking cakes for MacMillan or sleeping out in Manchester overnight, our teams will always jump on board.

When recruiting for new candidates we look for passionate and inventive individuals. People able to work proactively and who are first-rate communicators but most importantly able to fit seamlessly into the team they’ll be working with. We look for candidates who are open to continuous learning and who are thorough whilst developing the skills they need to progress their career at aps.

When joining aps, it’s not just a job, you’re starting a career. Our people are our biggest asset, and our vibrant and engaging culture is our biggest differentiator. We have great staff retention, which tells a story in itself and the majority of our staff have progressed their careers and developed with the company. We’re still growing and keen to continue to bring new talent into the business.

Our offices occupy half of a stately home set in acres of parkland, with plenty of space for summer BBQ’s and lunchtime games. Inside we ensure that we create a happy, stimulating and challenging environment for everyone!
