Tulchan Communications is Partnership that specialises in advising companies, both public and private, on communicating effectively with their principal stakeholders and sources of capital.

 As a firm we have deep expertise in advising on Financial communications, Investor Relations, Government, Crisis and critical issues and Governance. We act for a broad range of companies, ranging from major multinationals in the FTSE 30 to tech start ups. What they all have in common is a need to effectively communicate and build support for their investment case, purpose and management team.

We serve clients from our offices in London and Singapore. The firm consists of 60 staff, 12 Partners etc. We have built the firm on strong and consistent values - Expert, Loyal, Challenging and Entrepreneurial - and a deep belief that by working closely with our clients that ‘together we succeed’.

 We have a strong culture. We believe that the best service to our clients is by combining the talents, skills and experience from across the firm to meet a particular challenge of our clients.

What inspires us

Our team members are at the heart of our business and we are passionate about providing a working environment that is inspirational at every level for each member of our team – we are committed to taking care of each person in the firm on an individual as well as a group level. In addition to the usual benefits of 10% non-contributory pension, 25 holidays, corporate gym membership, flexible working and more we strive to be industry leading. Of particular importance to us is the physical and mental wellbeing of our team and in this regard we strive for best practice in our benefits. One benefit that we provide is an in-house chef as we believe “a family that eats together stays together”. We offer the breakfast and lunch (for free) which is cooked onsite by our professional chef, encouraging everyone at the firm to sit together and socialize. The food is nutritious to enhance physical and mental wellbeing. In line with our wellbeing agenda we also offer a suite other initiatives such as an in-house therapeutic resource that all team members can access on a confidential basis. We also offer a suite of Wellbeing and Mindfulness workshops looking after each team member’s personal mental health.

Application tips

We tend to hire at three levels within the firm and our requirements are both common and specific.

At our junior levels we look for natural aptitude, intelligence and character. We want to work with people who are enthusiastic, willing, cheerful and see a period at Tulchan as being a significant development opportunity for themselves as people and for their careers. We expect to work hard and contribute.

We want to feel that people who apply to work at Tulchan have done enough research into us that it is a genuine choice, not another application, and they have had the nouse to apply directly.

We welcome applications from people from many backgrounds and the Founder does not have a degree so has a particular interest in developing talent with innate talent and not just academic qualifications.

In the middle of the firm we want people who have a clear idea of where Tulchan might fit into their career and what they can bring to us. We aim to build expertise in Communications onto their natural talent and initial expertise. At the Senior levels we look for the ability to engage and advise at Board level, a deep expertise in a relevant discipline, along network of relationships, a cultural match and a genuine enthusiasm for communications and serving clients and colleagues.
