Established in April 2014, Mason Advisory is a digital & technology transformation consultancy that has grown from being a specialist player to competing with industry heavyweights in the  UK management consultancy sector – quite an achievement for an SME that started with only a dozen members of staff.

We are a great example of a boutique advisory with Big Four experience, delivering consistently high-quality services to a loyal customer base. This mix has enabled us to develop a way of working that embeds highly experienced teams within the client environment, providing consistently high quality, and good value.

The key to our success is building trusted relationships with clients. We work collaboratively with them as part of one team, ensuring that clients receive the help they need to drive change themselves, from within the organisation.

What inspires us

As a company Mason Advisory has always focused on wellbeing and engagement to build great employee experiences – this is how people are inspired to deliver their best, every day. It is important that our staff feel empowered to create support networks to encourage and champion a healthy balance. 

Practical ways we have used to encourage this when people are working remotely include pub quizzes, yoga, Tea and Talk, Running Clubs, and hydration tips, chat groups, competitions. Our hour-long team briefs now start with a half hour slot for an invited guest - from Michelin star chefs, to Olympic gold medal winners and ex-SAS motivational speakers - who pop in to share their experiences, wisdoms and answer questions from the team on anything in between. 

We continue to celebrate birthdays, marriages, births, highlight wins, and discuss where individuals have stepped up or gone the extra mile with customers or colleagues, as this goes a very long way to boosting morale and engagement.

Action highlights

Our L&D framework, Career framework and annual Career Development and Performance Review (CDPR), which are all aligned to our values, not only facilitate professional development planning, but also provides a foundation and transparency for training and career progression. We encourage regular check-ins which assist in identifying the individual’s personal and professional training requirements and demonstrates where different project selection is required to support development. These  are invaluable, as they enable open communication and honest discussions not only around feedback but also our employees’ wellbeing and welfare.

We continue to encourage and facility informal meetings, such as our fireside chats, confidential feedback through staff surveys and monthly team discussions around the company culture and performance. Our people strategy is committed to continuous improvement and through these means we endeavour to improve as a team and achieve our objectives.
