What defines us

We believe one of our greatest strengths is our culture. We focus on maintaining this right from the point we receive an application. During the hiring phase, we are looking for people who embody our four values: Courage, Collaboration, Humility and Curiosity. We then ensure that all our employees who go above and beyond to highlight these values in their work are recognised and rewarded. 

Our strong culture allows us to operate with complete trust in all of our staff giving them complete autonomy to do their work the way they believe to be best. Coupled with our open-door policy, people feel that all their ideas can be heard and no matter what position they hold their opinions are valued. We have a flat hierarchy and everyone's opinions and expertise are valued equally. 

We always say we bring a human element to technology and we live this belief by working hard to bring the whole team together for socials regularly. The nature of our work means people are in teams on different projects but people still enjoy getting together as a company as often as possible.

What inspires us

We offer our employees a whole host of benefits that they can choose from to best suit their life, each person gets £1500 a year to spend on gym memberships, private medical/dental care,  and a number of other things they can select from our benefits portal from the day they are employed. 


As well as this we have quarterly socials for the whole company funded by AL as well as a number of informal socials planned by the team themselves. Then we have our 'all-hands' meetings every two months, these consist of a presentation updating everyone on what's going on in all aspects of the company with complete transparency, welcoming new joiners, sharing great recognition for members of the team who have done outstanding work and so on. These are a great chance for the whole company to get together regularly and we also provide food and drink for them. We even gave everyone an extra £10 on expenses when we had to move our all-hands to an online conference call due to the current Covid situation so they could still have a drink or a pizza and a chat afterwards. 


We also have in-office events. The employees organise games evenings, wine and cheese tastings,  food festivals & we have a group who regularly organise a D&D evening etc. 


Employees are sent Well Done and Thank You emails for their hard work. As well as members of the team giving each other shout outs on the slack channel #recognition for good work and feedback from clients. We celebrate every success, big and small!

At Automation Logic we encourage autonomy in all of our employees, we’re a family of forward thinkers who are willing to fail but fail fast, always looking to improve and never settling for mediocre. Our approach is always to build, measure, learn and our people use the knowledge they gain in the field to build products like our AL Cloud Platform and to ensure we are instrumental to the success of our clients’ projects.  

We recognise that a lot of our successes can be attributed to the invaluable knowledge of our team on the ground, that’s why we have quarterly socials to share experiences over a group nominated activity. We also have regular All Hand’s meetings where you’ll hear about the inner workings of the business and upcoming projects and ‘Feed the Founder’ lunches where you get to voice your ideas directly to our Co-Founders’ Kris and Norm.
