What employees say

“I love the job that I'm doing and my daily tasks. I am actually excited to get up and go to work every day. OK, at the moment I walk from one bedroom to the other because of COVID, but I actually look forward to my working day.”

Taking everything into account, I would say this is a great place to work.

This is a physically safe place to work.

People here are treated fairly regardless of their race or ethnic origin.

This organisation actively promotes mental and physical health among its employees.

When you join the organisation, you are made to feel welcome.

People are encouraged to balance their work life and their personal life.

What defines us

DLL is a strongly value-driven organisation, and our values permeate everything we do in our daily work, internally as well as externally.

Our strong values create the foundations of our culture, and are our DNA and as such the DLL approach to responding to the pandemic has always been led by government guidelines with DLL adding an extra layer of caution to protect our member’s safety.

We are Allies for Inclusion. Becoming an Ally for Inclusion (going All In) is a way that all members can actively support DLL’s Diversity & Inclusion efforts by visibly indicating we are working to make DLL a place where people from all backgrounds and beliefs are welcomed and heard.

Our True Energy initiative is part of our DLL DNA, it’s embedded in our culture. There are four strands focusing on being active, networking, social events and we encourage volunteering.

Member wellbeing is entwined within our True Energy and Choose Wellbeing initiatives.

What inspires us

Global Community Involvement Program activities take place to support our communities in every DLL country. Our Global Volunteer Campaign aims to promote economic equality, educational access, social inclusion and bringing about fair, just relations and economic justice for all.

Locally, in 2020 DLL worked with the mental health charity MIND and the Peace Hospice, Watford. In the last year, our UK volunteer team have made financial donations to The Peace Hospice in Watford, fundraised for MIND,  and delivered 126 chocolate Easter eggs to Watford Food Bank. We have collected duvets, sleeping bags, and warm clothing for the New Hope Trust in Watford.

Word from the top

The past year has required our members to adapt to an entirely different way of working as DLL moved its workforce to a virtual environment. I am so proud of how all our members have not just adapted, but thrived under this situation.

Understanding the perspective of our members is key to building a successful workplace environment, and knowing our member’s feedback represents 75% of our Great Place to Work® scoring makes me enormously proud. DLL truly is a Great Place to Work®.

Application tips

Our dedicated Talent Acquisition team will ensure that the recruitment and onboarding process is as straightforward and seamless as possible. Your candidate journey will normally begin with our careers site, where you can customise alerts to ensure tht new opportunities are delivered straight to your inbox:

Screening will be part of the application procedure, DLL screens all interns and new employees according to the “DLL Global Screening Policy” in order to ascertain whether the applicant may hold a position at DLL. You may also be asked to complete an assessment to ensure that the right people are placed into the right roles.

Our great workplace

At DLL, we consider our people our biggest asset. That’s why you’ll be treated as a member, not just an employee. Together we create an informal, but professional atmosphere that is hard to find elsewhere. We also encourage members to seek out the best skills across all our offices, because the more networked we are as an organisation, the more effective we can be at seeing more than a customer, and working harder as a partner.

DLL’s wellbeing ambition is to educate, equip, and empower members to build connections, manage their mental, emotional, physical, and financial wellness, and maintain balance between work and the other priorities that make up their lives. Our four wellbeing categories are as follows:

Connection – Build meaningful connections with other members

Health – Manage mental, emotional, and physical health

Finance – Provide learning opportunities to help members achieve personal financial health

Lifestyle – Maintain balance between work and life priorities
