About us
The All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club was founded on 23 July 1868. It is one of the world’s most prestigious private members’ clubs and home to the world’s premier tennis event – The Championships, Wimbledon – the only Grand Slam played on grass. Each year, more than half a million people attend The Championships over two weeks, and Wimbledon is watched around the world by up to a billion people.
Our business has grown significantly in recent years and we expect that success to continue. In 2018, we acquired 73 acres of land adjacent to the All England Club, in addition to the 42 acres that The Championships currently operate within. This marks a milestone moment in our history and provides certainty for our future. We plan to continue heavily investing in our people and our facilities for many years to come.
Life at Wimbledon is a varied one. Our values of heritage, integrity, respect and excellence guide how we work and ensure that we always remain ‘In Pursuit of Greatness'.
