Now in its fifth year, this year’s Best Workplaces in Tech™️ list is the largest that the UK has ever recognised.
The world of technology is wonderfully broad but one thing seems to be consistent across the sector, and that is its ability to adapt quickly to the constantly moving goal-posts of what makes a ‘great place to work’.

Best Workplaces in Tech™ 2022
To determine the UK’s Best Workplaces™ in Tech list, Great Place to Work® analysed anonymous employee survey feedback representing nearly 20,000 employees working in the tech industry across the UK. Employees responded to over 60 survey questions describing the extent to which their organisation creates a ‘great place to work’ For All™.
Eighty-five percent of the evaluation is based on what employees say about their experiences of trust and reaching their full human potential as part of their organisation, no matter who they are or what they do. Great Place to Work® analysed these experiences relative to each organisation’s size, workforce makeup, and what’s typical relative to their industry peers. The remaining 15% is based on an assessment of all employees’ daily experiences of innovation, the company’s values, and the effectiveness of their leaders, to ensure a consistent employee experience across departments and seniority levels.
The following criteria must be met for consideration as a UK’s Best Workplace for Tech™:
✓ Organisation is listed as a technology company with a minimum of 20 employees
✓ Organisation has submitted a valid Culture Brief before 19/08/2022
✓ Must be Certified™ and meet the minimum Trust Index© threshold of 65%
Companies with 20-50 employees were considered for the Small size category; companies with 51-250 employees were considered for the Medium size category; companies with 251-1000 employees were considered for the Large size category; and companies with 1001+ employees were considered for the Super Large size category.
