We have introduced a Real Living Wage pay strategy to ensure we pay above market rate for our sector and to minimise the need for our colleagues to use food banks or have pay day loans, which is unfortunately common in this low-paid sector.
We have invested in a bespoke programme called Dare to Care which covers technical skills, mandatory training as well as wellbeing. We have a team-based rostering approach to 24/7 rotas to ensure consistency of care for the people we support as well as manageable work schedules to avoid burnout out and ill health and keep people working well.
We support personal growth and practice improvement through our on-going dialogue between leaders and their teams to build team-based trust and psychological safety. We have a unique digital tool called SeeMe to support our ability to build a culture of diversity, inclusion and belonging and help our colleagues manage their intersecting identities and work/life priorities in fulfilling working-life.
As the CEO, I feel extremely fortunate to be building our start-up organisation with my Co-Founder Kerry Libby and all of our colleagues in Glassmoon Services.
