Creating a culture of trust

Trust is the defining principle of great workplaces and is created through management's credibility, the respect with which employees feel they are treated, and the extent to which employees expect to be treated fairly.

Employees are not commodities!

Would it be fair to describe (and treat) employees as commodities? We all agree that a commodity is a basic good used in commerce. It is 'interchangeable' with other items of the same type.
