2008 Best Companies to Work for in Latin America
On the June 5th, 2008 the fifth annual list of 100 Best Workplaces in Latin America was announced at an Award Event in Monterrey, Mexico. The 100 Best Workplaces were honored for the exceptional quality of their work-place environments. The top 25 companies are ranked, and 5 companies were recognised for their special achievements in demonstrating innovative practices within specific areas of the Great Place to Work® Model©.
The list of 100 Best Workplaces in Latin America builds on national selection processes in nine Latin American countries (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela) published during 2007 and in the beginning of 2008. The workplaces appearing on the lists in each of the nine countries are evaluated against one another to determine the list of 100 Best Workplaces in Latin America, as well as the candidates for the Special Awards.
Great Place to Work® Institute has compiled the national lists of Best Workplaces as well as compiled the list of the Latin America 100 Best Workplaces and Special Awards.
