100 Best Workplaces in Europe

2007

The 2007 List of the 100 Best Workplaces in Europe is produced by the Great Place to Work® Institute Europe and published on May 2nd by the Financial Times. The List of the 100 Best Workplaces in Europe is based on 15 national Best Workplaces studies carried out in Europe. Participants in all countries are evaluated with the same methodology and the European List is created on the same criteria as national Lists. More than 1000 companies, or approximately 100.000 employees, have participated in this year's competition in Europe. Based on the company’s total score, only the 100 best appear on the European List. All 100 workplaces are recognized for their effort to create a high-quality working environment. This year's overall winner of the competition is the Italian Luxury car-maker Ferrari. The Top 10 companies are marked in bold below; otherwise companies are listed in alphabetical order. On May 15th 2007, this year's Award winners are announced at an Award Event in Dublin. Of the companies represented on the European List, five are chosen to be recognized for demonstrating “best practices” related to the five dimensions of the Great Place to Work® Model© within the following categories: •Credibility: “I am told the Truth”; Nominees: Sapient (DE), UNIMERCO (DK), Sigmar Recruitment (IR). •Respect: “I am treated as a person”; Nominees: W.L.Gore (DE), PISCINES IDEALES (GR), SAS Institute (SE). •Fairness: “I am paid fairly for the work I do”; Nominees: Pepsico (FR), Microsoft, ConSol (DE). •Pride: “This is not just a job”; Nominees: Ferrari (IT), CSU (NL), Novo Nordisk (SE) •Camaraderie: “We have serious fun”; Nominees: ConSol (DE), Management Events (FI), Admiral Group (UK).
